About al Forno Ferruzza Pizza
The al Forno Ferruzza family loves to cook. The entire Ferruzza family (Francesco, Stephanie, Juliet, Felicia, Lucian & Stephen) have a passion and respect for preparing and experiencing authentic fresh foods. Stephen the youngest who started al Forno Ferruzza Pizza is well equipped with culinary experience as a chef and an innate ability to cook. He has been influenced by his papa, Francesco Ferruzza, who was born in Castellana Sicula, Sicily and his mother Stephanie Stark Ferruzza, who both cooked from old world family recipes. Stephen has adopted the Sicilian culinary techniques used currently at al Forno Ferruzza pizza. The “love” for authentic fresh homemade foods has been handed down to the Ferruzza family from generation to generation. At the family’s camp in the Adirondack Mountains of N.Y. the Ferruzza family would spend their summers experimenting with culinary art in a wood fired oven built by papa Ferruzza. This is the inspiration behind al Forno Ferruzza’s authentic Sicilian Pizza that is baked in a 800 Degree stone hearth oven.
